I have been wanting to do a giveaway on Gamers Elite for months. Well, now is the time! At first I wanted to do just an Xbox One Controller giveaway but I know that everyone plays something different. So instead you can win at random a controller of your choice for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, etc...
I sat here for a little while trying to decide if I should work or take today off. I literally only take about 5 days off a year! And I have never, in the past 8 months, taken even one day off from Gamers Elite. So I decided I am going to go spend time with my family, eat some damn yummy food and think about all the things I am grateful for this year.
As far as I know, its just the US celebrating today. But, if you are celebrating today, I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving.
Gamers Elite will be back bright and early on Friday with all your Video Game News!
Don’t forget; there are only THREE days left in the giveaway. So far I am up to almost 300 entries. WOW! I never expected that!
You can find the entry page by clicking this link. You can come back everyday for certain entrie...
I don’t think ever in my life of gaming I have seen a legislator specifically pinpoint one game and call it out. Of course over the years we (as a gaming community) have had news outlets call video games “killers” or “games that make people killers” when mass murders are said to have played video games; but nothing like this. You can watch the video below if you would like to. But, EA is in a lot of HOT water right now.
According to news outlets, Belgium Gaming Commission has called EA’s loot boxes a type of gambling – they are moving to BAN these loot boxes from all of Europe.
Also, Rep. Chris Lee of Hawaii is calling loot boxes a predatory practice.
“It’s a trap,” he says, showing off his Star Wars bona fides...
When I first heard that Dungeon Defenders II was coming to Xbox One (finally!) I was stoked. Since then and between playing COD and NFS, I have had an amazing time playing Dungeon Defenders II and it’s all I remember it to be.
Dungeon Defenders II is an Action Tower Defense game, packed with classic roleplaying elements like loot, leveling, and pets.
The Old Ones’ armies have invaded Etheria and it’s up to you and your friends to push them back! Create and level a team of heroes to take into battle. Then freeze, burn, and electrocute enemies with your deadly defenses or jump into the action yourself to finish them off! Play by yourself or alongside friends, with up to 4 player online and 2 player local (split-screen) Co-Op.
It’s a fun little game, it’s completely free, and it’s a grea...
Beyond just calling cards for each Division which you can check out below, when you Prestige your Divisions in Call Of Duty WW2 you also get weapons when you reach MAX level.
Call Of Duty WW2 Infantry Division: SVT-40: The Tokarev SVT40 is a Soviet semi-automatic rifle, which is a medium between the American M1A1 Carbine and M1 Garand. It is essentially the same as the Gewehr 43, dealing one-shot kills in close quarters or to the head, or three-shot kills to the chest. It has a fairly low rate of fire, but is pretty accurate with a decent-sized magazine and high damage, making it a very effective medium range weapon. Its ammo can become fairly scarce at some points, however.
SVT-40 Variant: O.A.O.: The O.A.O. grants you a 10% Soldier XP Bonus for every kill.
Last night while screwing around on Call of Duty WW2, I was down in the firing range. Usually, I go down there to try out a new gun or a new setup, but today I was just super tired and super bored and was looking to waste time. Somehow or another I stepped upon an Easter Egg. I did check online and apparently I am late with this, but if I didn’t know about it, chances are others don’t know about it either.
At first, I was literally just using my launcher to hit stuff. Then suddenly a notification appeared on my screen in Call of Duty WW2 “you have shot your targets in the correct sequence” or something. I was very confused. Especially considering after I did this and I kept shooting stuff, I looked to the ground and saw a bunch of watermelons.
After the whole debacle with the Star Wars Battlefront 2 microtransactions, it looks like EA is out to change other games as well – like Need For Speed Payback. Frankly, I am level 14 I believe and I think I get a fair amount of crates. But, it seems like when it’s between levels – when I just leveled up, to get to the next level it takes forever. At first, I just figured it was supposed to be challenging, but maybe not? Apparently, EA is now making it to where you will earn more money and XP in races, and events and beating Roaming Racers will afford you with more Rep and Bank to boost your progression.
According to Ghost Games, these changes were already in the making for Need For Speed Payback...

According to Microsoft, you do not need a 4K television in order to reap the benefits of the Xbox One X. However, if you decide to purchase a 4K television the graphics and frame rate WILL be better. The technology is created so that you aren’t required to have a 4K tv, but if you decide to get one the difference between not having one versus having one is definitely significant.
The image below features Mass Effect on the Xbox One X. The first image is on a television with 1080p. The second image is a television with 4K. As you can clearly see – both images look amazing, but the 4K image is just THAT much better.
In other words; if you have the money to splurge on a 4K television set, have some extra cash to spend, or you’re the type of person that needs to have the best of everything, b...
Over the past few weeks Gamers Elite has been doing a lot of Black Friday Sales articles, console specific discounts for Christmas, and games. But, the one thing I have never done is Nintendo Switch – and there’s a reason for that. While Xbox and PlayStation are already pretty well-known to people, Nintendo Switch is still a pretty new console. Nintendo has already made a statement that they will NOT be having any discounts on consoles for Black Friday or for Christmas.
Instead, they plan on focussing on supply and demand...
