Well, we finally get our chance to play one of the most talked about games in 2017; Metal Gear Survive. Some people say that this is going to be one of the best games in 2018, while others doubt it because it’s missing a key person (Hideo).
Nonetheless, if there’s a beta you better bet I’m going to try it out.
The Metal Gear Survive beta is available until January 21st. However! There seems to have been some confusion in who the beta is for and who cannot play it.
According to Konami, the beta is available for Xbox One and PS4 players until January 21st, however, it’s only available to Xbox One players worldwide (including the US). It is not, however, available for PS4 players WorldWide – it is available everywhere EXCEPT the US.
Not really sure why they decided to do it this way, to be ...
Epic Games had Fortnite offline for a little while in order to add this new update – 2.2.0 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC of course. The update for Fortnite was to add a newly updated map, game voice chat and more!
You can check out the update patch notes in its entirety below for Fortnite.
Discover a new city, underground mine and a number of other brand new locations scattered across the Western side of the map. Biomes are also premiering in this patch, enriching the environment and personalizing each area. Where are you going to drop?
If you played Call of Duty WW2 yesterday you may have noticed that this was the 3rd update in 3 days. All three updates for Call of Duty WW2 were very small, only a few MBs and took very little time to download – usually at the main screen, but one did make me go to my dash to do an actual update.
If you were curious as to what these updates were for, specifically the one we had yesterday, you should know that they added some buffs and some nerfs and did a few map changes as well – nothing huge, but its a change nonetheless.
Call of Duty WW2 Patch Notes:
FG 42 – Recoil buff and slight fire rate buff
Grease Gun – Recoil adjustment to give player more control, ADS transition time buff
Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition is one of those games that I know a lot of you PC players are looking forward to. I remember hearing about this awhile back and I too was interested in it because I played one of the earlier games on PC. Meh, I know I’m not a PC buff, but I do like some PC games!
While there was a delay on the initial release, its now been announced that Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition will be released on February 20th! Keep reading below to find out more about the game, features, soundtrack – and even a beta!
According to Microsoft the game is completely redone, adds multiplayer and has LAN support.
The Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition will also include a new re-recorded soundtrack for the game and has a new score.
I know that the Xbox Game Pass gets a lot of flack, but I think its people who don’t understand what the service is for. Think of it as less than a Game Fly subscription and more of a Netflix subscription.
Game Fly usually has new games.
Netflix has movies and TV shows that are 1 year old or older!
To top it off, the Xbox Game Pass is incredibly cheap for the number of games you get, the benefits (discounts on used games, DLC, etc). You can cancel anytime without being penalized and they also have a 14-day trial!
Now if you’re one of the people that can appreciate the service for what it is, you might be glad to know that they are adding another few titles to the service, in February. 8 games in all with more to come.
God Of War is one of the games I am really looking forward to. Unfortunately, I don’t have a PlayStation, but I am still looking forward to the release nonetheless. Over the past few months, Gamers Elite has shared many different videos and images for the game and it looks fantastic!
Summary of the game in case you have NOT checked it out yet (And you should!)
God of War is an action-adventure hack and slash video game series loosely based on Greek mythology, originally created by David Jaffe at Sony’s Santa Monica Studio. Debuting in 2005, the series has become a flagship title for the PlayStation brand, consisting of seven games across multiple platforms...
When I heard there might be a new Fable game I simply had to find out everything I could! This was one of my favorite series on the Xbox 360 – even the spin-off game Fable Heroes was something that I spent a lot of time and energy playing!
One of the things that had some people wondering if there really is a new Fable game coming is the fact that Lionhead Studios – the developers that originally made the Fable games is now defunct.
Microsoft closed Lionhead Studios down back in 2016.
Well, according to a few developers I looked at, Playground Games are the ones who will be picking the franchise back up. Personally, I am very happy to hear this because I actually like Playground Games – hello! They bring the Forza Horizon games to life!
So far, while Playground Games HAS confirmed they are ...

Edit: Because of the issues Gamers Elite mentioned below, the Dragon Ball Fighterz beta IS officially extended until 9pm PST on January 18th (today). Its not a ton of time to make up lost time but at least its something, right?
Unlike a lot of other companies out there that just sweep problems under the rug, Bandai Namco has announced that they are willing to extend the beta that is going on right now for Dragon Ball Fighterz IF the network issues persist.
Even though Dragon Ball Fighterz is due out on January 26th, right now a lot of people are playing in the beta for the game. Although a lot of people are having fun playing it, one of the biggest complaints is that users keep having network errors and keep disconnecting from the game.
The beta is over on Sunday but they have said th...
The Xbox One X is now available and with that, we see a huge amount of power in a smaller console. A lot of the games are taking advantage of all that power by releasing Xbox One X enhanced games. These games are the same games but they are refined for the qualities of the Xbox One X – specifically a higher frame rate and 4K quality.
If you just got an Xbox One X and you’re wondering about some of the best games for the console, this is my own official list of games you should be checking out, NOW!
Assassin’s Creed Origins
Assassin’s Creed Origins is a game that many people were looking forward to. It already looks good on the Xbox One, but add in the Xbox One X and you have a game that will simply blow you away!
Add on the fact that they announced that they also added better visual boos...
