PlayStation 4 started what sounds to me like what Xbox One is doing – The Xbox One Game Pass. However, people are complaining about the Game Pass for Xbox because its a lot of old games. It looks to me that the PS Now has a mix of both new and old games for PlayStation 4.
If you are unfamiliar with PS Now:
PlayStation Now (PS Now) is a cloud gaming service developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The platform allows users to pay for access to a selection of original PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 titles on either a per-game basis or via a subscription, with rumors of offering PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable titles in the future. PlayStation Now was launched in Open Beta in the United States and Canada on PS4 on July 31, 2014, on PS3 on September 18, 2014, on PS Vita and PS TV on October 14, 2014, with support for select 2014 Bravia TVs coming later in the year.At Gamescom 2014, SCE announced that PS Now would arrive in Europe in 2015, with the United Kingdom to be the first European country to access the service. On December 24, 2014, Sony announced the PlayStation Now would expand to the other electronic brands.
Right now there are 20 available in addition to the existing lineup of 504 PS3 games. But, Sony says that over time more games will be added to the PS Now catalog.
As of right now here are the 20 new ones from PlayStation 4 that have been added to PS Now
Castlestorm Definitive Edition
Darksiders II Deathfinitive Edition
Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition
Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
God of War 3 Remastered
Grim Fandango Remastered
Killzone Shadow Fall
MX vs ATV Supercross Encore
Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
Super Mega Baseball
Ultra Street Fighter IV
These are all PlayStation 4 games.
PlayStation 4 has also said that they are bringing back Promotional Prices which means that you can use a 1 month card for only $10 or a year card for $100 – which isn’t bad, especially considering it would cost more to just buy 1 month at a time of PS Now for 12 months = $120. So essentially you are getting $20 off of PS now.
I couldn’t seem to find the PS Now subscription for 1 month or 12 months. Just a 3-month service.
