Need For Speed Payback 2017 Car List So Far

One of the biggest things that people automatically want to know about a Need For Speed game let alone Need For Speed Payback is what cars will be included. Well, actually, I guess this goes for ANY racing or car game. These are after all, the vehicles you will be driving 99.9999% of the time while on the road or even in your garage. For a lot of people driving these cars and the importance of them deals with 3 things.

1- Fantasy: Have a favorite car? Is it like $500,000 and there is no chance you will ever own one? Well thankfully in game they cost significantly less – hell, buy one in every color! Cars give us the ability to own a car we love or always wanted and you don’t need real money and you don’t need a real garage! I am still praying for the 67 Shelby gt500 to show up in Need For Speed Payback.

2- We get to customize them: People love to customize things. It doesn’t matter if its a car, a soldier, or a mage – people want to be able to relate to the item at hand and in order to do so you have to be able to customize it how you see fit. If that means neon green lights under the car and pink tiger stripes – then so be it!

3- We get to adjust the cars: Another reason people want to know what the cars are and IF we can adjust them is because people love to tune. Its one of the reasons why Forza is so damn popular. People want to show off their craft and really push the limits on a car and in order to do that you have to let them tune the car!

That’s a pretty good list so far, huh?

I have been following the blog, Facebook and Twitter for Need For Speed Payback constantly these past few months. I want to cover something else that is quite relevant. Where are the Ferrari’s?!?

Here is a little reply I gave to someone who asked this same question

NFS isn’t really well-known for putting Ferraris in their games. There’s two reasons for this. 1 they don’t have the licensing to do so for EVERY need for speed. Secondly, Ferrari, supposedly, is super protective of their car brand. If there is a game where you can do illegal things in a car, Ferrari does not want to be associated with that game. I think for the games where Ferrari did allow NFS to put their cars in the game – NFS probably paid a &*^% ton of money for those cars to be used. Here is a little run down comparison for you.

Need for Speed Reboot

4 lambo

Need for Speed Rivals

Need for Speed: Underground

Need For Speed Payback

((so far))

Its true though! NFS really is not known for Ferrari cars and my reasons outlined above are even truer! On the other hand, if you have a game like Forza you can almost guarantee that you will have 15+ in each game. Hell, even look at Forza Horizon 3 – they had 31 Ferrari’s!!! But they also had 15 lambos. In Forza you tend to not “wreck” the cars as much or do illegal things. Same thing with Forza Horizon 3 – minus the night races!

If you STILL have not made the jump and pre-ordered it I think you are definitely missing out!
