Gran Turismo Sport Finally Has A Release Date! Pre-Order Info

Gran Turismo is one of those games I loved and played when I had a PlayStation way back when! Over the past few years there has been rumors that they would release a new game called Gran Turismo Sport ie; GT Sport. At e3 2017, they said that they would finally be releasing the game but that they didn’t actually have a release date – “sometime in fall” was the expected date.

Thankfully they just released an actual date a few days ago; October 17th! I honestly think its a shame when companies do this – they only give you a date and then give you a few months to decide to buy it outright or make payments, but hey, I guess if you have a Plsyation 4 and you really want it, you wont mind only having 3 months to get it and have a real release date available.

Gran Turismo Sport, like most of the other car games out there, is giving you a good variety of cars to choose from including Rally Cars, the Mazda Miata and a few LMP1 race cars. For a list of cars so far check out the list below compiled by Gamers Elite:

The last time a Gran Turismo game came out was way back in 2013 and it was released on Playstation 3. I can only imagine the quality of the game now that its being released on a next gen console! I remember playing it back on my original Playstation and Playstation 2 and I always thought, wow, nothing could ever be better than this! Well, now on the Playstation 4 – and other sony consoles, I think this is the game that is going to blow everyone’s minds!

I have said this before, but there are a handful of games I would consider buying the Playstation 4 for, and this is another addition to the list. Like with Forza Horizon, Need For Speed and Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo Sport is really taking advantage of the technology available today.

Even in the release video, you can clearly see how the environments have changed since the last game – from playing on different xourses, to the different driving surfaces and more. Not only is this going to be a game that revolves around traditional racing, but it also looks to have other racing options – rally and off road racing too.

Needless to say, if traditonal racing isnt your thing, you still have other options available in Gran Turismo Sport.
