Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition is one of those games that I know a lot of you PC players are looking forward to. I remember hearing about this awhile back and I too was interested in it because I played one of the earlier games on PC. Meh, I know I’m not a PC buff, but I do like some PC games!
While there was a delay on the initial release, its now been announced that Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition will be released on February 20th! Keep reading below to find out more about the game, features, soundtrack – and even a beta!
According to Microsoft the game is completely redone, adds multiplayer and has LAN support.
The Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition will also include a new re-recorded soundtrack for the game and has a new score.
Every mission in the campaign story also has a voice narration and the scenario editor will also let you create your own campaigns for Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition.
The Scenario Creator also allows you to share your creations with other players who have the game – via the Age Of Empires website.
The PC Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition was supposed to be released back in 2017 – October 19th to be exact and it was supposed to be considered a 20th-anniversary launch. However, because it had been delayed (for good reason!) the new date has been set.
Microsoft is also planning on doing a beta for Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition if you’re interested. The beta will be available on January 29th and everyone will be able to sign up for it and try it out.
If you would like to sign up for the beta, you can do so at this link.
According to Microsoft Age Of Empires: Definitive Edition is not the only Definitive Editions they are going to be doing. They will also be releasing Age Of Empires 2 as well as 3 and they are doing a full sequel for Age Of Empires IV.
