Edit: Because of the issues Gamers Elite mentioned below, the Dragon Ball Fighterz beta IS officially extended until 9pm PST on January 18th (today). Its not a ton of time to make up lost time but at least its something, right?
Unlike a lot of other companies out there that just sweep problems under the rug, Bandai Namco has announced that they are willing to extend the beta that is going on right now for Dragon Ball Fighterz IF the network issues persist.
Even though Dragon Ball Fighterz is due out on January 26th, right now a lot of people are playing in the beta for the game. Although a lot of people are having fun playing it, one of the biggest complaints is that users keep having network errors and keep disconnecting from the game.
The beta is over on Sunday but they have said that if it continues like this they will definitely extend it.
Bandai Namco tweeted out earlier today as players’ frustration grew. “We’ll keep the Open Beta online but you might experience problems during gameplay.”
Bandai explained the issues a little more in this post on its Facebook Page and talked about the issues on the beta:
“Thank you for playing the Open Beta of Dragon Ball FighterZ and your invaluable feedback. Our team is working hard on optimizing the Open Beta but ran into some issues that cannot be addressed in a short amount of time, so we are asking for your patience until the next server update. The current Open Beta will remain online and available so that the players who can log in and play it, can keep doing so.
Please note, that if we cannot address the issues within a decent amount of time, we will consider extending the Open Beta of Dragon Ball FighterZ. Thank you for your support and patience as we work towards an optimal gameplay experience.”
If you are one of the many people having issues, don’t get too frustrated just yet. Wait and see if Bandai extends the Dragon Ball FighterZ beta, which they probably will do anyway, and then see what happens.
I hope this isn’t a tell of what the game release is going to be like! I mean I know we all have some issues on release day, but this is making people kind of nervous to say the least, especially considering Dragon Ball FighterZ comes out in about 2 weeks!
Hopefully, they get their game together and let the people enjoy the beta while they can.
