What Is The Best Gaming Router?

It seems that everyone these days has their lists in terms of which router is the best gaming router. EliteShot for instance, uses and thinks the Netduma R1 is the best. Personally, I think that while this router might be a good one to use, its not the only one to use. In fact, I think there are much better options, especially in terms of money. I am more than willing to spend a little more IF I know that its going to last me for a few years. Below, we will be talking about the best gaming routers; 1 that I use, and a few off shoots if you want to try something else out.

The One I Use – NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S – AC2600 4×4 MU-MIMO Smart WiFi Dual Band Gigabit Gaming Router

This bad boy costs for around $230. But, I honestly think its worth it. Just an FYI from me to you, you do NOT have to use the router your ISP gives you to use. You can use whatever gaming router you want to use. Back in my days as a young gamer, I would always use a Linksys. It was the brand I always went to when I needed a great gaming router. As an adult I only have used Netgear. This one in particular is the R7800 version. It has a whopping 16,000+ reviews and a rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars. Pretty amazing.

Other Good Gaming Routers

Almost all of the gaming routers you are going to see today are going to be over $200. you can find a few for under $100, but honestly, I would rather pay an extra $100 and have a better router than have just an “okay” router.

So there ya go. My top 3 picks for the best gaming router. I have really enjoyed the one I have – the first one. Netgear and Linksys are sort of “household” brands when it comes to routers and models, so I would suggest that you stick with brands that are more well-known, rather than some cheap knock off.  Also, these “gaming routers” are for all consoles and devices and will benefit you whether you are a PC gamer, console gamer or otherwise.
