The Best PlayStation 4 Exclusive Games

Lets be honest. I love my Xbox One. But, over the years there have been an increasing amount of games on PlayStation that really made me want a PlayStation. In fact, down the line, I probably WILL get a PlayStation 4 because I see a lot of games that have great stories behind them, fantastic graphics, or its just been a series I have been following for awhile. Before I ever even owned an Xbox, I was a Nintendo and Sony girl. I only actually settled into Xbox One because there were a few games, at the time, that I wanted more for Xbox One than PlayStation. The games listed below are ALL PlayStation 4 Exclusive Games. Games I want, games I love, games YOU love! If I miss one or two, let me know in the comments below.

The Order 1886

Okay, so I know that The Order didn’t get as much love that we all thought it would. The length was short, so short in fact that a lot of people were pissed off that they bought a $60 game only to be able to finish it in one day. Hey, I don’t blame ya, but this was still a game that was and is on my list for PlayStation 4 exclusive games. The one thing that stood out, and still stand out from this game is the graphics. In fact, some people said that the graphics made up for the crappy gameplay and the shortness of the game itself. The Order 1886 is one of those games that you buy for $60, only to have it hacked down in price quite significantly and quite quickly. Its actually on sale right now for right around $10 to $20 depending on if you get the physical copy or the digital code. Ooph.

Killzone Shadow Fall

It shouldn’t be a big surprise that this is on the PlayStation 4 exclusive games list blog, but it also shouldn’t be a big surprise that its a game that I always wanted to play, from the first second I saw gameplay trailers to the images leaked online; this one and is one of the games on my list. Hello! Its essentially a FPS. The graphics, the gameplay, and even the length were all appreciated among gamers. What wasn’t appreciated was the underwhelming somewhat boring storyline behind the game. Also, at the time of the release back in 2013, it was also a tough time for this game because the original Kill Zones were on the older system – this one was for PlayStation 4 so people had to either make the jump and buy a new console PLUS a $60 game or just stay behind and miss out on it, but continue to play 1-3. I think if you checked back though, with people that didn’t make the jump back then, you would find that when a few people DID buy the PlayStation 4, they did indeed buy Kill Zone Shadow Fall. Perhaps not enough people though because Killzone is almost completely forgotten these days. In fact, there is almost zero news about a new Kill Zone and the news that is mentioned on the Internet is people talking about wanting a new KZ not the actual publisher or developer saying stuff. Its pretty much a forgotten game at this point. You can still purchase it for PS4 though f you are inclined. Its less than $20.

Infamous Second Son

When this game was first talked about a few years ago, people thought that it would be THE game for PlayStation 4. Not only was it incredibly built up to being an amazing game, but to top it off it was also a PlayStation 5 exclusive game. One of the most annoying things about the game, and lets be honest here, was the main character, Delsin Rowe. However, if you managed to get past him, you were left with a really beautiful game, with good gameplay with a LOT of room to move around – it was an open world and definitely one that was worth taking time to explore. This was yet another game that I would have bought a PlayStation 4 just to play and it was exceedingly better than other Infamous games. Infamous Second son is super cheap these days – under $20 for the standard edition.

Drive Club

Oh, yeah, speaking of Infamous, this was the game when it came to driving games for the PlayStation 4 exclusive games list. Not only did you have a lot of people buying the game that already loved driving games, but you even had a few stragglers that weren’t even interested in driving games, buying this one. Even though there was and IS a considerable amount of competition (Forza, NFS, Crew), on other platforms, this one came really close to killing all the competition and doing so stylishly. One of the things I really loved about this game, in particular, wasn’t the cars, it wasn’t the extras or the maps – it was the details of the vehicles. I mean you could see every cubic inch of perfection with these cars, I really fell in love when I saw the dynamic environments that occurred in the games. It wouldn’t just rain, but the water would actually run down the cars surface and it really looked.. REAL. Another thing that people really loved about the game was the ability to sync up your Spotify playlists with the game, Forza Horizon did this as well, but they choose to partner up with Groove rather than Spotify. Funny enough, I actually liked Groove so much that I have transferred over from those other music websites to use Groove exclusively. I love it. So if you love good music while driving, nice looking graphics and cars, and you like to go fast – this is still a game I would recommend.

Bloodborne

This game is on this list for 3 reasons. First off, its a fantastic game – I played the beta on my friends PlayStation and I really honestly loved it. A lot. Second off, its a PlayStation 4 exclusive game. Lastly, its one of the best-selling PlayStation 4 video games. In fact, its 4th on the list right now; Uncharted 4 a Thief’s End is #1, Horizon Zero Dawn is #2, Killzone Shadow Fall is #3 and Bloodborne is #4. According to Sony, Bloodborne sold over 2 million copies and still continues to have sales even after the past few years. Its an Action Role Playing Game.

Summary: “The game is played from a third-person perspective, players control a customizable protagonist, and game play is focused on weapons-based combat and exploration. Players battle varied enemies, including bosses, using items such as swords and firearms, and journey through the story, exploring the game’s different locations, interacting with non-player characters, collecting key items involved in the story, and discovering and unraveling the world’s many mysteries. Bloodborne began development in 2012 under the working title of Project Beast. Bearing many similarities to the Souls series of games by the same company, Bloodborne was partially inspired by classic H. P. Lovecraft novels as well as Dracula, and the architectural design of certain real world locations in places such as Romania and the Czech Republic.”

This game definitely should be on your shelf and you should play it through at least once in order to really GET why this game is so playable!

Horizon Zero Dawn

As duly noted above, Horizon Zero Dawn IS one of the best selling video games for PlayStation 4. Its actually pretty surprising that this one did sell so many copies. Why? Well, it came out the same time as Breath of The Wild and therefore had a lot of people to go up against. I mean, its Zelda for god’s sake. That’s gotta be scary for the publishers and the developers! Zero Dawn not only competed against Breath Of The Wild but it stood its own. I have seen hours of footage, game play, trailers, images and more. I think one of the reasons this game was so popular was the storyline, but also the graphics. Zero Dawn did have a few hiccups when it was released but they are fixing these issues and will obviously continue to support the game and its fans.

Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End

This is another game I always had an interest in playing. I bought someone a PlayStation 4 once and spent many hours watching them play. Thankfully they were also nice enough to let me play as well. To be fair I might not love it as much as others because this was my first Uncharted I ever played, but nonetheless, I still thought it was a fantastically fun game. One of the most notable features of the game was the graphics and visuals, as well as the cinematic cut scenes. Not to mention the proper narrative and the story behind Nathan Drake are also compelling reason to love this game. According to Cultured Vultures, only TWO games ever got a 10 out 10. This was one of them!

I would definitely, 100% get a Playstation 4 if it meant I could play this last PlayStation 4 exclusive game! Don’t forget, Uncharted is also doing another game called The Lost Legacy links to that can also be found below.

UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy – PlayStation 4

You can also read my article(s) on The Lost Legacy here. it will be released on August 22nd, 2017! I have a feeling this one is also going to become a bestselling game considering how much people love the Uncharted Series.

E3 is almost here which undoubtedly means this list will need to be updated yet again, but in the meantime, these are the games that I would have in my gaming room if I had a Playstation 4!
