Gamers Elite already showed you what will be included in the multiplayer maps from The Resistance, but another big part to the new DLC is of course Zombies.
The Darkest Shore
According to the intro, Call Of Duty The Darkest Shore takes place just a few days after the previous Nazi Zombies Chapter, this time on a secluded island where Doktor Straub continues his evil experiments. Activision says that besides just the continued storyline and a new “location”, Call Of Duty WW2 The Darkest Shore will also have new zombies. This time around the zombies are even smarter, quicker and more bloodthirsty than before.
Call Of Duty WW2 The Darkest Shore will also add in a fog environment effect which will make it harder to detect zombies and of course approach them. Here is how Activision explains Call Of Duty WW2 The Darkest Shore:
“The Darkest Shore follows our heroes into the next chapter of their dangerous journey. Only days after the horrific disaster of Mittelburg, the crew has received intel that suggests Doktor Straub is on an island just north of Germany. Blanketed in fog, this island is surrounded by Nazi air and sea power–and crawling with the Undead. Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson will need to battle all this and more to uncover the mysteries hidden within the Darkest Shore.”
Like the previous Call Of Duty games, Call Of Duty WW2 The Darkest Shore and The Resistance DLC will be available to PS4 players first – the DLC will be released on January 30th. Shortly after that, hopefully, a month or two later, it will also be available to Xbox One and PC players. In order to get Call Of Duty WW2 The Darkest Shore and The Resistance you will need to get the Season pass for $50, have an edition that has the season pass already included, or you can as always, buy the DLC separately.
Some people choose to buy the DLC packs separately so they know what they are getting beforehand, but I almost always (unless money is an issue) buy a special edition or buy the Season Pass outright. For all the issues that COD has, I still love the series and see no reason NOT to buy the season pass or a season pass edition!
