I have had a few people tell me that they purchased Sonic Mania and that they are head over heels in love with it. Why wouldn’t you be?! Its SONIC! I mean Sonic is an Icon, just like Mario and Luigi, or those annoying pixelated ducks from Duck Hunt.
Sonic Mania: Collector’s Edition was released on August 15th. If you got a regular copy of the game – outstanding! I really hope you play the heck out of it and enjoy it, I am still deciding if I should get the Xbox One edition.
Summary: Sonic Mania is a side-scrolling platform game developed by Headcannon and PagodaWest Games and published by Sega for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows in August 2017. It was announced in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series... Read More

I remember being on Xbox 360 and Microsoft supposedly would allow you to use the Windows Media Player app to play music in the background. The only problem was that it worked for some people and for others, such as myself, it did not work. I always thought it was kind of odd not allowing us to listen to music on our 360s while playing games. While I don’t ALWAYS like to listen to music while playing, specifically while playing FPS, I do like to listen to music while playing more relaxed games.
These days, you have a whole slew of music apps to use on Xbox One. One of the reasons I think its good that they have multiple options is because each app offers different music, features, you might already have a membership with one and want to transfer it over to Xbox, etc... Read More
It used to be that Microsoft didn’t even support controllers. Instead you had to Mickey the device or use a workaround of some sort in order to make it work. However, in this day and age, that’s just not the case anymore. Official drivers have been included and built into Windows 10. While the technology is available for you to connect your Xbox One controller to PC, there are a few different options available.
Connect Using A Micro USB Cable
One of the easiest ways to connect your Xbox One controller to PC is by using a simple micro USB cable. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or overly expensive. In fact, here are a few options that would work fine.

For the past few years I have NOT bought a brand new Xbox One controller. In my experience, they break after 6 months to a year anyway, so why bother really. Its also the reason I still have not purchased an Xbox One Elite Controller. Even though they do come with a 1 year warranty, I just cannot see myself buying a $150 controller that will break in a year – and will be out of warranty.
Well, my last Xbox One controller that I just labeled my “back up” was one I bought off of Amazon. It actually lasted… a YEAR! Yea believe it! It was one of those Star Wars Menace ones. It was white with gold details. At first glance I wasn’t sure if I liked it (I tend to stick with boring, but sleek black). But I bit the bullet so to speak and bought it... Read More
As I have said many times before on Gamers Elite, there are certain games that have amassed a huge following, and Fallout is one of those games. Since the game was first released with “Fallout” on September 30, 1997, millions of people have played the game. If you are NOT familiar with the series, you definitely need to check it out. When you play a game, like COD, as much as I do; you have those guns that are just your go to guns. Not even just Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare, but any COD or any BF game. For example, in the original black ops, everyone raved about how amazing the Commando was. But for me, there were 4 guns I always went back to again and again, and it was not the Commando!
Then again, shooting a gun in a game is very similar to driving a car in a game – they have the same aspect of skill, for me anyway. Take the Mustang in Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. No one I played with ever liked the Mustang. Its too clunky. Its too big. It swerves. Nah. Not for me. It drove perfectly! Same thing goes with guns. One that you love, might be one I seriously suck at using... Read More
If you like reading and you like books, why not read Star Wars books? There are only like 100,000 books out there you can read on the topic! Admittedly, Star Wars is and always has been a huge “genre.” Yea. I’m going to give it its own genre because its that big! Star Wars is just one of those topics that will probably never go away; from TV shows to movies to books to comics hell, they even have Star Wars themed decor for your home if you are so inclined to buy it!
Books are not only a great way to keep your mind sharp and your brain healthy, but these books are fun too. In this blog we will only be covering actual books, not comics and graphic novels, but Ill include some links if you are interesated in those as well.

Alrighty, here we are back again with the Video Game Deals blog. I try to do a few of these a week, but sometimes other news tends to take over Gamers Elite and the video game deals blog gets pushed to the side. Today we will be covering, once again, a whole slew of accessories.
Also, I have to mention this! These deals are pretty amazing, but did you guys also know that these daily deals can be accessed sooner than everyone else with Amazon Prime? Yep, its true! When you belong to Amazon Prime you can get access to daily deals 30 minutes sooner than everyone else.
Might not seem like a big deal, 30 minutes? But it is... Read More
Over the past few years, since having Xbox Original, Microsoft has offered all sorts of services. 2 of the “newer” services are EA Access and of course Xbox Game Pass, and another one I want to talk about is Amazon Prime. But, what are the differences? Does one have more games than the other? Is one more expensive? Does Amazon Prime really cater to Gamers? This is exactly what I will be going over today!
EA Access – What It Is
EA Access (stylized as EA access) is a subscription-based gaming service by Electronic Arts. Initially pitched to both Microsoft and Sony for use on their consoles, EA Access launched only on Xbox One on August 11, 2014. The service allows access to select games published by Electronic Arts, along with additional incentives.
Just like Hulu or Netflix, you pay a fee e... Read More
