Crackdown 3 Pre-Order Information

Up until a few years ago, I hadn’t even heard of Crackdown. Really. I mean I don’t even remember seeing it in stores or hearing anything about Crackdown. It was just non-existent to me. It wasn’t until someone introduced me to it, that I was like WOW, what the heck have I been doing with my life! Haha. Seriously. I actually played these out of order because of some conundrum or another – I can’t really remember what happened because it was years ago.

But, I played the second one first, and the first one second. Of course, the very first game in the series couldn’t possibly compare to the second game, but I played it anyway! Crackdown really reminded me of a sort of Sci-fi Borderlands game. The characters and the surroundings just have what they call, cel-shading.

The entire game is open world and its HUGE. The game essentially takes place in a futuristic dystopian society that is controlled by a secret organization called The Agency. Oh, yea, this isn’t just a fun game to play, the story is super interesting too. The Agency, as its called, is mainly what the game focusses on. At The Agency there are super soldiers known as Agents that fight against and kill criminals named The Cell.

They are zombie-like monsters called The Freaks. But that’s not all. You don’t just kill freaks and criminals. You have to also collect items called Orbs throughout the game and you can get upgrades for everything from your jump – single, double, triple, etc to your weapons, to the car you drive and more. The game has a Skill Tree. The skill tree includes:

Strength
Agility
Driving
Explosives
Firearms

Each “skill” can be upgraded. There are also “specials” in the game that you can unlock such as high tech armor, ground pound, wingsuit with thrusters and more.

Beyond just single player there is also a multiplayer but truth be told I never played it. The only thing I ever played was single player and co-op. I really hope that Crackdown 3 has co-op!

Oh and did I mention you can blow stuff up and even knock down entire buildings?!!!

They call it a third-person, sandbox, adventure game. Its VERY different from my usual games like NFS, Forza Horizon, COD, Battlefield, etc. Maybe that’s why I like it so much; its different.

The first game was released back in 2007. Three years later, they announced and released Crackdown 2. Both were just fantastically fun games. I spent so much time on Crackdown 1 and 2, that its a wonder I didn’t go Agent insane when they announced THREE and yet.. nothing came of it. They have been saying that they have been working on Crackdown 3 for a few years now. Every single January I go to my local Gamestop and I get one of those “Games Coming Soon” sheets and its never on there! Such a disappointment.

Well, over the past few weeks I have been hearing a lot about Crackdown 3 being in production and released in 2017 and I can honestly say (no shame) I am SO freaking excited. If you have never heard of crackdown, I am going to include some images, as well as videos so definitely make sure you check them out.

This is a 2014 trailer from E3

As of right now, there is no actual date, we only know that it will be released in 2017. What I think is that they will announce the actual date, any special editions, or items the game will come with when E3 comes rolling around. But, believe you me, IF they announce anything at E3 I will definitely be posting about it on Gamers Elite.  I am very excited for them to talk about an actual release date!  if you have not checked out the other 2 games, you can do so here:

Crackdown – Xbox 360
Crackdown 2 – Xbox 360
Crackdown – Xbox 360 Digital Code
Crackdown 2 – Xbox 360 Digital Code

And if you want to pre-order Crackdown 3 you can do so here:

Crackdown 3 – Xbox One – Digital Code
