E3 2017 Ubisoft

Beyond Microsoft, this was the one I was honestly, really looking forward to.  I have quite a few games and series that I play that are Ubisoft games so I was definitely itching for this one to start.  I was especially excited to see more about The Crew 2.

Starlink: Battle For Atlas

This also looked like a really good game, definitely something I will consider for my secondary list! “In Starlink: Battle for Atlas, you’re part of a group of heroic interstellar pilots, dedicated to free the Atlas star system from the Forgotten Legends, an evil robot force. Starlink: Battle for Atlas offers a whole new gameplay experience: build your own modular Starship model, mount it on your controller, and take part in epic space combats. Equip your model with different parts and your Starship changes in game in real time. Assemble your fleet, mix and match your pilots, Starships and weapons to create your own play style and defeat the enemy.” You can customize your ship which is always a good thing to me – customizations are PLUS! You can also explore the entire star system which is pretty cool, I think this is considered an adventure sc-fi type game for sure. This game will be available in 2018 during the Fall. It will also be available for Xbox One YAY, Playstation 4 and of course Switch.

Steep

Steep was actually one of those games I had on my secondary list last time and I just never got around to buying it. This is the expansion pass called Road To The Olympics. One of the biggest reasons, I think, this is coming out in 2018 is because it’s supposed to coincide with the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Games. because of this, you will also be traveling to Korea and Japan in the game! There were a few XBox Original games that were similar to Steep hence why it was on my list. These games are not only a lot of fun, but Steep is fun AND the graphics are exceptional.

The Crew 2

If you’ve never played the first crew but you have played Forza Horizon 3, The Crew 2 works just about the same way. It’s you versus everyone else and you essentially climb the ladder, by of course, racing and beating people. It also has a fan system – the more fans you have the better. The Crew used 99.9% of the racing for cars, there were a few boats and such but nothing too extreme. The Crew 2 will allow you to use pretty much any vehicle, or so that’s what the trailer looks like.

Cars, Trucks, Dirt Bikes, Planes and everything else in between. The trailer really got me pumped up, the only thing that bummed me out was that date! 2018. Ah! I want it so bad now haha. But I guess I’ll have to wait. make sure you sign up for the beta you guys! You can do that by visiting the Ubi website, going to The Crew and signing up. That trailer was probably one of the best, most exciting, and most expansive trailers I have seen in a long time. Way to go Ubi!

Beyond Good and Evil 2

I’ll be honest, I never played the first one. Although, it just dawned on me that it was a FREE game on Xbox One for the 360. I guess I know what I’m playing tonight!!! The second one looks JUST as fantastic as the first.

As with the first one; lots of laughs, lots of violence, LOTS of swearing. In the 3:53 minute trailer I think I counted around 113 cuss words haha.

Skull and Bones

I for one, love Pirate type games – I already have Sea of Thieves on my list, but this one also looks great! It’s not just the whole rum and booty thing for me. I love the history behind pirates, the ships, the way they fought battles, etc. Check the trailer out if you have not already:

“It is the Golden Age of Piracy. Renegade captains command the most powerful weapons on Earth: warships. You are a pirate captain who has refused the king’s pardon and sailed from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, an untamed frontier full of lavish riches. However, these waters are also a battleground where far-reaching colonial empires, powerful trading corporations, and ruthless pirate gangs clash. In order to survive, you will have to build a lethal fleet, prey upon lucrative trade routes, and ally with other pirates in your endless struggle for supremacy.”

From what the trailer reveals and the description this is wholly a naval ship game ie; you never get off the boat. I actually don’t mind that but they absolutely need to make the controls user-friendly and make it exciting. I mean getting off the ship would give it some variety, so if you have to stay on it for the entirety of the game, they better make it damn interesting with a superb story line too!

Supposedly this one will also be released in 2018.

Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Yet another reason to get a switch! Another Mario game! This one is very cutesy, as one would expect from a Mario Game.

The story features “rabbids” which to me, look like some very creepy rabbits!

Summary: This is the story of an unexpected encounter between Mario and the irreverent Rabbids. To bring order back to a splintered Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi team up with Rabbids heroes on a journey through four different worlds.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi are all in the game so that is definitely awesome! The game will be released August 29th, 2017! Honestly, my cousin has a Switch and I might buy this for him just so I can play this!

Assassins Creed Origins

We got to see a little bit of this at the Microsoft Press Conference but they actually played an Alpha Game Play sequence in the Ubisoft Press Conference. The game, as always, looks really good. Its quite a different game though considering they are in Egypt. I really think that this was a hook, line and sinker for a lot of people (including me). I mean HELLO! Its Egypt! Full of history and wonder.

Here is the official link for the game

It will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC October 24th!

Far Cry 5

I first wrote about Far Cry 5 coming out a few months ago. Everyone was super excited and then, sadly, they had said this wouldn’t come out until 2018. The official release date, as of now, is February 27th 2018. You can read the articles I wrote about Far Cry 5 here and here as well as watch the official E3 Ubisoft trailer with gameplay.

As new games come to light, more trailers are released and pre-orders are enabled, Gamers Elite will post ALL the information you need!
