I’m A Little Late, But Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition

While I am in the middle of waiting for the Call Of Duty WW2 Beta and the release of Destiny 2, I find myself getting antsy and annoyed easily lol.  Ya know, sometimes you just want to put your gun down and stop blowing people up!  Sometimes you just want a fun little game, with great graphics to relax.  Well, I chose Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition.  The second game will be coming out before you know it – which also looks fantastic and I might purchase it down the line.

I had someone ask if this was an adventure game.  Its considered a Platform Adventure, but I’m honestly not really sure what that means.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition:  Ori and the Blind Forest is a single-player platform-adventure Metroidvania video game designed by Moon Studios, an independent developer, and published by Microsoft Studios. The game was released on March 11, 2015 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. A Definitive Edition was released for Xbox One on March 11, 2016, and for Windows on April 27, 2016.

I ended up playing it for about 3 hours lol.  I really enjoyed it.  It takes a little to get used to if you play a lot of COD games like I do because the controls are totally different.  But, another website I looked at said that the story was deep and emotional – and it is.  I actually felt sadness when one particular thing happened in Ori and the Blind Forest.  I absolutely love the graphics.  Everything is just so damn… pretty!  I mean the colors are just so satisfying, ya know?  I actually had a few friends come over and when they came in my game room, they were like WOW what’s that!?!

I also like the skill tree and the fact that you get “specials” as you move forward.  For example, something called BASH.  I don’t have it yet, but I hope to have it soon because there is a green wall that is annoying me and I need bash to get through it (I think?!?) lol.  If you know something I don’t, let me know in the comments.

Anyway.  Its a fantastic game and I think it will keep me quite busy this next week before the COD beta is released for Xbox One.

If you made the same mistake I did when it came to Ori and the Blind Forest and STILL don’t have it, I highly suggest getting it.  Definitely a good game to play, experience and own.  Its available for under $20 with the physical or digital copy.  I got digital simply because I wanted to play it now and not wait for it to get shipped to me.
