If Star Wars Battlefront 2 has you feeling a little depressed and disappointed in the game (or EA), you should know that there are a ton of other Star Wars games to play – it really depends on the system you have and how much you are willing to spend.

I am going to start off with a very old Star Wars game called Super Star Wars. It was released wayyyy back in 1992. WOW!

Check out these Star Wars Games.

Super Star Wars
Star Wars Games

Super Star Wars is a 1992 video game for the Super NES based on the 1977 film Star Wars. It is the SNES equivalent of the Star Wars NES game. Super Star Wars features mostly run and gun gameplay, although it has stages which feature other challenges, such as driving a landspeeder or piloting an X-wing.

It also features multiple playable characters with different abilities.

Star Wars Bounty Hunter
Star Wars Games

The main objective of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is to hunt Dark Jedi Komari Vosa. During the game, it is revealed why Jango Fett was chosen as the template for the Grand Army of the Republic, how Boba Fett, his cloned “son” was born, and how Jango acquired Slave I. Players also fight many “bosses”, such as Montross and Longo “Two-Guns”.

There are also side objectives, such as collecting secondary bounties, that open special bonus items in the game. When the player beats a chapter, blooper reels – comedic machinima productions – are unlocked.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
Star Wars Games

Players control a clone of Starkiller, who himself was a secret apprentice to Darth Vader in The Force Unleashed. The clone embarks on a quest to find his identity and find Starkiller’s love interest, Juno Eclipse. Production for The Force Unleashed II transpired over an approximate period of nine months; while it possesses some similarities to the previous game, producers modified several aspects such as the sound effects and gameplay.

Sam Witwer again provides the voice and likeness for Starkiller, and several cast members return to voice and provide a likeness to their respective roles.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Star Wars Games

I love these Lego games, they are just so fun and there are so many different series available. The mission for the game is to collect Gold Bricks while successfully progressing through the entire story.

The Complete Saga spans the events that take place from the Trade Federation negotiations above Naboo in Star Wars Episode I – The Phantom Menace to the attack on the second Death Star above Endor in Return of the Jedi.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars Games

The story of Knights of the Old Republic takes place almost 4000 years before the formation of the Galactic Empire, where Darth Malak, a Dark Lord of the Sith, has unleashed a Sith armada against the Republic. The player character, as a Jedi, must venture to different planets in the galaxy in order to defeat Malak.

Players choose from three character classes and customize their characters at the beginning of the game, and engage in ground-based combat against enemies. Through interacting with other characters and making plot decisions, the alignment system will determine whether the player’s character aligns with the light or dark side of the Force.

Star Wars Pinball
Star Wars Games

Yes, there is also a Star Wars Pinball game! Set in a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars Pinball lets you interact with the most iconic characters, and relive the greatest moments of the Star Wars universe mixed with exciting pinball action!

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Star Wars Games

Jedi Academy is powered by the id Tech 3 game engine, the same engine used by Jedi Academy’s predecessor, Jedi Outcast.

In a new feature to the series, the player can modify the character’s gender and appearance and can construct a lightsaber by choosing the hilt style and blade color.

In single-player mode, the player takes control of the character Jaden Korr, a student at the Jedi Academy under the tutelage of Kyle Katarn. The player must complete various missions assigned to them by Katarn and Luke Skywalker.

There is also a multiplayer mode that allows players to play against other people over the internet or via a LAN.

Star Wars Racer Revenge
Star Wars Games

Single Play: This option allows the player race in one of three ways: Single Event, Practice, or Time Trial. Single Event lets the player race on any unlocked track. They can choose between 1 and 25 laps.

Practice lets the player determine how many pods they go up against (from 1 to 8), and Time Trial is just the player against the clock for the best lap time.

Vs. Race: Race against other players on any of the unlocked tracks.

Tournament: In this mode the player races across 13 tracks, trying to get first while destroying as many rival pods as possible. Each race has a total prize for getting first, as well as Watto’s Bribes, which multiplies winnings by a percent, depending on how many pods were destroyed. Each race has a Par number of kills, usually 2 or 3, which must be completed in order to completely max out the player’s pod’s stats.

Star Wars Battlegrounds Saga
Star Wars Games

The player starts the game with a Command Center, a scout, and three workers (in a normal random map game) for whichever of the six original factions they choose. The player search and gather resources such as Food, Carbon, Nova Crystals, and Ore and then using the resources in order to create new buildings, units, workers and so on.

Food is used for low-end units and troopers, as well as the workforce. Carbon is used in place of Wood in Age of Empires 2 for buildings and artillery. Nova Crystals create the more high-end units and can be gathered through getting special “holocrons” (from Relics in AoE 2).

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D
Star Wars Games

Set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy and inspired by the Star Wars: X-wing Rogue Squadron comics, the game takes place primarily between events in the films Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.

The player controls Luke Skywalker, commander of the elite X-wing pilots known as Rogue Squadron. As the game progresses, Skywalker and Rogue Squadron fight the Galactic Empire in sixteen missions across various planets.

Star Wars: The Old Republic
Star Wars Games

This story takes place in the Star Wars fictional universe shortly after the establishment of a tenuous peace between the re-emergent Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The game features eight different classes. Each of the eight classes has a three-act storyline that progresses as the character levels up.

Players join either the Republic or the Sith, but players may possess a morality at any point along the light/dark spectrum. Different classes favor different styles of gameplay, and the game features extensive customization options, fully voiced dialogue, companion characters, and dialogue options similar to BioWare’s own Mass Effect series.
