Monster Hunter World Beta – Available Soon

Monster Hunter World will be having a beta very soon. So far I know that the Monster Hunter World Beta will be on PS4, but so far no word on if it’s also available for Xbox One and PC users.

As soon as I know, you’ll know!

In the Monster Hunter World Beta, there will be 3 quests you can choose from – these can be played either in single player or with the help of a Palico. You also have a choice t play multiplayer with players of 2-4 people. No matter how you play though, you will need to be online so that’s something to consider as well.

Important Monster Hunter World Beta Dates
Beta Pre-Download Friday, December 8
Beta Start 9 AM PT Saturday, December 9
Beta End 9 AM PT Tuesday, December 12

The Monster Hunter World Beta will also enable a feature that I wish more games would! It’s the ability to set your filter language so that when you play online you will only be matched up with people that also speak the same language as you, I hope that this, in turn, means that you will PLAY in servers with people from your country as well. Hopefully, this will get rid of some of the lag that other games have!

Here are the 3 quests you have an option to play in the Monster Hunter World Beta:

Great Devourer, Great Jagras

Monster: Great Jargas
Location: The Ancient Forest

Wildspire Rampage

Monster: Barroth
Location: Wildspire Waste

The Ancient Forest Menace

Monster: Anjanath
Location: The Ancient Forest

In the Monster Hunter World Beta, you can also try out 1 of the 14 weapons in the game in a solo arena called the training area.

Monster Hunter World Beta Bonuses

When you play any of the 3 quests and you beat them you will get a Face Paint that you can actually use in the full game when it’s released.

Once you beat each quest (the first time) you will also get some common consumables for the full game as well. These are helpful, but common nonetheless. They include:

Max Potions
Life Powders
Various Traps
and more!

FAQ About The Monster Hunter World Beta

None of your progress in the beta is saved, and nothing beyond the bonuses will be transferred to the full game. However, because you’re just choosing from six preset hunters with preset armor and weapons, nothing customizable will be lost if you turn off the game.

You are allowed to stream the beta as well.

Some features are missing in the beta, including the ability for squad leaders to kick players, and the ability to join in mid-quest.
