Monster Hunter World – Day 1 Updates

Monster Hunter World is going to be released in just a few more days! Like most of the other games these days, Monster Hunter World will have a day 1 update that you will need to install on Xbox One and PS4.

The update, called Version 1.01 is a pretty small update, it’s only around 800mb depending on if you’re playing on the Xbox One or the PS4, but it includes some really beneficial features for Monster Hunter World including online multiplayer, chat, and more.

You will NOT be able to play Monster Hunter World until you do the update.

The update will also be fixing a few bugs and glitches in the game and it will be adding a new Gallery Mode to Monster Hunter World.

Additional System Features

Multiplayer, event quests, chat functionality, and other online features
Now able to claim content via the Housekeeper in your room
Gallery Mode added to the title menu
The gallery allows you to view all of the cutscenes you have watched so far in the game. The player character that appears in the cutscenes will vary depending on which save data you have loaded.

Poogies Added

Once you have made enough progress in the story, a Poogie will appear in the tradeyard in Astera. Get the Poogie to warm up to you by petting it in just the right way! Once it’s friendly to you, pick it up and carry it to different places throughout Astera… and you might just be rewarded for your kindness!

Additional Display Languages

In addition to Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish, the following languages will be added.
Additional voices will not be added.

Monster Hunter World has said that they will be adding weapons and new monsters as time goes on and that they will also be releasing a new DLC soon after the game is released as well – sometime in the spring. The new DLC for Monster Hunter World will include the Deviljho so that’s definitely something to look forward to!

Monster Hunter World – Free DLC

On several occasions since the announcement of Monster Hunter World, Capcom has said that they will proudly be adding new content and DLC to the game – and it will be FREE. Not only will you guys receive some cool DLC and maps, but you will also get new monsters that you can hunt.

Monster Hunter World releases for PS4 and Xbox One on January 26, followed by a PC version this fall.
