Nintendo Switch Games You Should Check Out

If you purchased a Nintendo Switch this year, you probably also bought Zelda breath fo The Wild and Splatoon 2. Chances are you are also sick to death of these games! My cousin bought a switch specifically to play Zelda. He texted me last week to inform me that he thinks he made a mistake buying the Switch to begin with. He was complaining that there were not a lot of other games for the Nintendo Switch. I helped he with a few other titles, and that is exactly what I am going to do for you in this article. Believe me, there are a lot of aweosme games out there for the Switch!

Cave Story +

This is a game that was actually already released in 2004 on the PC and then it made its way to Wii, PSP and DS. Heck, there was even a remastered edition for the 3DS! Cave Story + is packed with all sorts of upgrades so if you’ve wanted to play it in the past or you didn’t realize it was on the Nintendo Switch, now you know!

Take control and learn the origins of this world’s power, stop the delusional villain and save the Mimiga!

Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment

If you’ve played Shovel Knight before and liked it, this is the game for you. This one is the prequel to the original Shovel Knight. “Take control of Specter Knight, servant to the Enchantress, in a quest to recruit a cadre of knights and create the Order of No Quarter. With his scythe and preternatural agility at the ready, he can glide across the ground, clamber up walls, and command an arsenal of curious weapons. If he carries out his duties, Specter Knight may have a chance at regaining his lost humanity and breaking his chains of servitude. But what cruel tricks might the Enchantress have up her sleeve?”

Puyo Puyo Tetris

If you love Tetris as much as I do, you will probably like this Nintendo Switch game! This one has been on more than one Best Sellers lists on Gamers Elite. This is a puzzle video game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. The game is a crossover between the Puyo Puyo series and the Tetris franchise, and features various game play modes incorporating both aspects. The game includes characters modeled after the seven Tetrominos, which are different puzzle pieces each made of four blocks. It looks like a TON of fun!

This one is actually a pretty new release. It just got released on June 16, 2017. Gamers Elite also wrote a pre-order article about ARMS back in May so definitely check that out because it has images, videos and tells you a lot about the characters in the game and the versions available:

Summary: Choose a fighting champion, equip your own combination of extendable arms, and then use a mix of button presses and quick hand motions to really take the fight to your opponent. Throw punches and guide them mid-flight to hit agile fighters, avoid incoming attacks with dashes, or trampoline high into the air to rain down fists from above. Power-up your punches to deal extra damage or curve your fists around obstacles to hit skittish opponents. Fill up your special gauge to dish out devastating combinations and finish them off. Unleash your inner fighter in this unbelievable sporting event!

Monster Jam Crush It

This one is actually a pre-order and it will be available on October 31, 2017. As of right now there is only a standard edition – but its for less than the regular price of a regular game ie; its pretty inexpensive. If you like MONSTER trucks this is one for you to check out. Because its got a RP – rating pending there’s no telling what sorts of things you will find in the game, so don’t quote me on this, but it looks like it would be good for teens and above.

Summary: Monster Jam Crush It! brings you an all new action packed Monster Truck game of the most popular touring show in the world! Take control and experience Monster Jam like you’ve never seen. Crush It! takes fans back into authentic real-life stadiums for racing and freestyle events including the site of Monster Jam World Finals – Sam Boyd Stadium.

Super Bomberman R

I remember playing this when I was a kid, with a friend of mine. She was really good at it and I totally sucked at it. I would stay alive for 2.3 seconds and somehow die in the game – over and over and over. So I tended to just watch her and that was good enough for me! From what I understand the R in the title means its a Remastered edition. Nonetheless, they did add some awesome graphics, new features and its still a really fun game to play.

Summary: Super Bomberman R makes full use of the Nintendo Switch system capabilities, which enables gamers to play wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. Super Bomberman R offers a ‘Battle’ mode where up to eight players are dropped within a maze until the ‘last man standing’ is declared the winner. There is also a ‘Story’ mode where one to two players work cooperatively to clear a series of 50 stages in order to save the galaxy.

I am sure I would still be horrible at this game – but I am sure it is still a lot of fun!
