Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds – Xbox One

Do I love FPS? Hell YES. One game I kept looking at (before it was announced) was Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds. Originally released for the PC and not consoles, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has become an increasingly popular game. In fact, its not only a popular game but its sold literally millions of copies since being released on PC. According to the game’s Director, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has sold 4 million copies in just 3 months time! That’s pretty crazy if you think about it. To put it into monetary value – that equals around $120M. In 3 months!

Not only have they sold a truckload of games, but its also popular in other media streams as well. For instance, on Twitch, its the 2nd most watched game on the entire site. The first being League Of Legends.

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is supposed to be showing up for sale for Xbox One this year. It will then be released further down the line for Playstation 4. So while its not an exclusive game, it is technically a console exclusive game in that PS4 will get it…. just not now.

Here is the 4K trailer for the game:

This is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. This realistic, high tension game is set on a massive 8×8 km island with a level of detail that showcases Unreal Engine 4’s capabilities.

PLAYERUNKNOWN aka Brendan Greene, is a pioneer of the Battle Royale genre. As the creator of the Battle Royale game-mode found in the ARMA series and H1Z1 : King of the Kill, Greene is co-developing the game with veteran team at Bluehole to create the most diverse and robust Battle Royale experience to date. Not Just a Game. This is BATTLE ROYALE.

This is a game that only has one mode mind you, and no single player campaign to speak about right now. Its purely multiplayer. No word has been put out yet as to how many people will be able to play per match at the same time, but I think its probably going to be a larger number like Battlefield uses. It is, after all, going to be available on Xbox One so why wouldnt they use the tech capabilites available to them!

Right now there is no set date and you cannot pre-order the game. But as soon as you can, come back to Gamers Elite for more information. Also, if you are a PC player and have yet to buy the game here are the links to do so.
