PUBG and EA are very different companies. I mean, let’s be honest here. When I think of PUBG I think more of an Indie company. When I think of EA I think about top AAA games. I know, I know, PUBG is being Published by Microsoft and Bluehole.
Even PUBG and EA’s net worth is quite different. Up until the PUBG Corporation made PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, they weren’t exactly making a ton of money – however, in 13 weeks they did make around $100m in revenue via Steam!
When I think of PUBG as an Indie company; it’s not in a bad way. It’s actually very good. A lot of these Indie companies try their best to make us – the players, the investors, the community, happy because they know that without players, their game wouldn’t be successful.
Companies like EA seem to have forgotten that (but are quickly being reminded!).
PUBG has said that they will be having loot boxes. However! I think they learned from EA and have also said that these loot boxes will NOT give you an advantage in the game. Instead, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS says that these loot boxes will only offer cosmetic changes to your character or your guns.
“We will never add anything that affects the gameplay,” the studio said.
Well, that’s good to hear! There’s nothing worse than playing with fellow gamers that can buy loot boxes and gain an advantage. THAT is what most everyone had an issue with when it comes to EA games. It’s just not fair.
PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS will be released very soon – December 12th! Let’s hope that they keep up with their end of the bargain. I would really love to see this game in a positive light on ALL the review sites. I know that I am really looking forward to playing it – I already made my pre-order on Amazon!
I know I said I wasn’t going to until 2018 but uh it was only $25 with tax and my Amazon Prime account so I bought it! I will definitely be reviewing it and I will definitely be posting clips and images!
