Red Dead Redemption 2 – News and Pre-Order Information – Updated 5/23/2017

Update:  As it turns out, and I am sure no one is actually surprised, Rockstar has officially pushed Red Dead Redemption into 2018.  I know the fans will be split on this decision.  Some will be upset because they have already been waiting so many years for a new game to come out.  The other half of the fans will be grateful because this means that they want to make sure the game is in tip-top shape before putting it out.  I am right in the middle to be honest.  I was really looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 2, but hey, if they need more time, they need more time.  There’s not really too much you can do about it.

Also, everything has been put on hold.  That means pre-orders!  If you go to these two links, it says its currently unavailable.

Red Dead Redemption 2 – PlayStation 4
Red Dead Redemption 2 – Xbox One

Red Dead Redemption is one of the few games out there that managed to generate a cult series behind it. People loved it way too much to the point where a sequel was guaranteed. But actually finding the right approach was hard, and that’s what makes Red Dead Redemption 2 so enticing to be honest.

The game is expected to arrive sometime this fall, but as you can imagine, little is known about it and its story. Based on what we see in the poster, we expect to see something in the vein of a magnificent 7 storyline.

It could be a great addition to the Red Dead Redemption world, but at the same time we may also get to work with the original protagonist. It’s definitely one of the things that would pay off very well and which show the uniqueness of the entire approach. Red Dead Redemption 2 is more than just a sequel, it managed to create an astounding franchise and it did pay off very well for the long run.

So, the original was amazing and it definitely set the tone for something new. Aside from the fact that this time we have a much larger open world, everything is set for debate. Obviously, we can speculate that the gameplay will be a bit challenging at first for the players, because there are obvious things to keep in mind and that on its own is very interesting to say the least.

They did a very good job with the first one, but the multiplayer experience in Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to be unique and definitely worth your time. It’s hard to see what the developers have in store for us, but adding multiplayer into the mix will really change things up for Red Dead Redemption 2.

There is no PC announcement at this particular time. We hope that PC will finally get a Red Dead Redemption game this time around. There is no relevant information to point towards such a thing, but one may hope that will be the case for the long term. Looking at games like Destiny 2 for example – Destiny 1 was never available on PC. However, after a lot of PC players were complaining that they wanted the game, Bungie decided that Destiny 2 would indeed be available on PC among all the major consoles.  Here are the versions you can pre-order now…

Xbox One – Red Dead Redemption 2
Playstation 4 – Coming soon…

Since this is a Rockstar game, we can assume that the title has been in development for quite some time It’s hard to say how close to the finish the game really is at this time, but it may be very close for sure. One thing is certain, a lot of people want it to be the ultimate western experience and it may very well be. The title has pretty big shoes to fill considering how many people purchased, followed and became HUGE fans of the original Red Dead Redemption!

If you saw the trailer, you are definitely impressed with the way things turn out. The game is very good at showing you a unique side of the Red Dead Redemption world, and hopefully that will be better explored in the title and its unique story. If you have not seen the trailer, check this out!

I can’t wait to play this in around half a year or so. We can imagine that more and more details about the game will emerge soon, especially with E3 taking place soon. One thing is certain, the game will be plenty of fun and I can’t wait to delve back into the Wild West!
