Skull and Bones – Pre-Order Information

I was recently on a trip to GameStop to check out what they had, plus they always have those little papers with the upcoming games and I wanted to make sure I had everything in order for the Gamers Elite blog! I was talking to one of the guys there and we started talking about how no one makes good pirate games. Then I mentioned that they were having 2 coming out – Skull and Bones AND Sea Of Thieves. Both of them look really good in their own way and each one is a completely different game.

Skull and Bones has a really gritty but fun look, while Sea Of Thieves looks more puzzlish and fun. When the announcement for Skull and Bones came to light nothing was really mentioned about it, but ya know with E3 more and more information comes to light and more and more people get to review the game early on.

If you take a look at the trailers such as this one

It looks very much like Black Flag – the asssasins creed game that was released a few years back. For some people who never even liked the AC gamesa, they purchased that specfific one because A) it dealt with pirate ships and B) it dealt with pirates!

If you like Pirate games, Pirate ships, or the Pirate theme, this might be the game for you to pre-order.

“It is the Golden Age of Piracy. Renegade captains command the most powerful weapons on Earth: warships. You are a pirate captain who has refused the king’s pardon and sailed from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, an untamed frontier full of lavish riches. However, these waters are also a battleground where far-reaching colonial empires, powerful trading corporations, and ruthless pirate gangs clash. In order to survive, you will have to build a lethal fleet, prey upon lucrative trade routes, and ally with other pirates in your endless struggle for supremacy.”

In another blog here, when I was tlaking about the E3 conference I had mentioned in passing if it was going to be a wholly pirate ship game or if you would also be getting off the boat. It seems, however, that this will be an entire game ON the ship. Sea Of Thieves on the other hand, is a little bit of both.  Here is a gallery of some images for Skull and Bones.

Supposedly this one will not be released until 2018 and they were simply showcasing it for E3, either way, it looks like a lot of fun! There is no pre-order information right now, but as soon as there is, come back to Gamers Elite and check it out!
