The Crew 2 + Pre-Order Info

The Crew 2 and Crackdown 3 were not available the first time I went to pre-order games on my BIG LIST, but a few days after, during E3 you were finally able to pre-order on some of the websites online. You can bet your butt that I went on as soon as I was able to and Pre-ordered The Crew 2. The Crew was one of those games, for me, that fit with my love of racing and cool cars, as well as cool gameplay options. I mean you were able to travel all over the United States.

The Crew 2 is slated to release in 2018, but you can still pre-order it just to get it out of the way, especially if you are like me and you plan on buying a bunch of games! The Crew was one of those games I got because Need For Speed was not releasing a game and I needed my fill of racing. I didn’t really enjoy Forza Motorsport because its a little too linear for me. The Crew was a lot like Need For Speed and Forza Horizon 3 was a lot like both!

For The Crew 2, its you versus everyone else and you essentially climb the ladder, by, of course, racing and beating people. It also has a fan system – the more fans you have the better. The Crew used 99.9% of the racing for cars, there were a few boats and such but nothing too extreme. The Crew 2 will allow you to use pretty much any vehicle. Cars, Trucks, Dirt Bikes, Planes and everything else in between. The trailer really got me pumped up, the only thing that bummed me out was that date! 2018. Ah! I want it so bad now haha. But I guess I’ll have to wait.  If you want to pre-order The Crew 2 here are the links to do so.

As of right now, only the standard edition is available.

Here are a few images from The Crew 2 as well!

The original Crew was really fun so I decided to get back into it this week (before the issues with my ceiling). There were a few things that I forgot about that I hope they change up for The Crew 2. Here are a few issues I had and still have with the game.

1- When you do a skill on the road, whether you mean to go through the gate or not – you finish the skill, it loads and then it stops your car. No. Don’t load, why can’t it just seamlessly go from the skill you finished and keep you driving at the speed you were going? That annoyed me!

2- I was driving the 1967 Shelby GT 500 (my fave car) and for some reason, the damn thing kept getting stuck on the sidewalk, when I continued to press the gas or the break, my car flipped 2 times in the air. I really don’t remember it doing that when I used to play it religiously, so I’m not sure why its doing that all the sudden out of the blue.

3- The whole “pick a car” system on the blackboard is just way too confusing. They need to find a way to make it a little more user-friendly. Especially after not playing it for awhile I completely forgot how in the hell to buy a car let alone move up the system to the different car types. After figuring it out I thought, what the hell, why is this so confusing!

4- Graphics need to be way better. I always thought the graphics were really good, but after not playing for awhile AND playing other games with fantastic graphics like FH3, I noticed that The Crew didn’t have as good of graphics like I originally thought. In fact, after playing FH3 for an hour and then playing The Crew I was pretty disappointed in things like pixelated trees, cars, and grainy looking skies. Surely they can do better for The Crew 2!

Overall, The Crew is a really fun game but they definitely need to work out a few kinks for The Crew 2.
